Abstract: Objective To observe the effect of Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment) on postoperative pain and pigmentation after excision and suture of head and facial skin lesions. Methods A total of 200 patients who underwent excision of head and facial skin lesions from January 2018 to August 2019 were randomly divided into two groups. The treatment group had 108 cases, and the postoperative wound surface was treated with Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment) twice a day for 1 month; the observation group had 92 cases, and the postoperative wound surface was treated with erythromycin ointment twice a day for 1 month. The pain scores of the two groups were evaluated on the 2nd and 7th days after surgery, and the pigmentation scores, scar scores, and satisfaction scores were calculated on the first month after surgery. Results All patients completed the treatment and no serious adverse reactions were observed. The pain score of the treatment group on the second day after surgery was lower than that of the observation group, with a statistically significant difference (P<0.05), and the pain score on the 7th day was equivalent to that of the observation group, with no statistically significant difference (P>0.05); the pigmentation score of the two groups of patients was counted in the first month after surgery, and the treatment group was lower than the observation group, and the satisfaction score was higher than the observation group, with a statistically significant difference (P<0.05), and the scar score of the two groups was equivalent, with no statistically significant difference (P>0.05). Conclusion The application of Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment) after excision and suture of head and facial skin lesions can reduce wound pain and pigmentation, and the effect is worthy of recognition.
